🇫🇷This World Rally-Winning Works Lancia Delta Integrale 8V🇫🇷
Chassis ZLA831AB000459811 was built by Lancia’s Reparto Corse to full Works Group A ‘tarmac’ specification. It made its debut at the 1989 Tour de Corse – Rallye de France, entered by the Lancia Martini Racing Team and registered under its original Turin plate, TO 16990M.
Driven by Didier Auriol and co-driver Bernard Occelli, the car was entered in one of the most technically demanding rounds of the season. Auriol battled intensely with François Chatriot (BMW M3), ultimately securing overall victory with 10 stage wins, finishing 1'57" ahead of Chatriot and 3'50" clear of Kankkunen.

🇦🇷WRC Round 8: 1989 Rally Argentina🇦🇷
Later that year, the car was assigned to Argentine rally legend Jorge Recalde, known as El Cóndor de Traslasierra, for the Rally Argentina. Lancia fielded three factory-entered Deltas — driven by Recalde, Mikael Ericsson, and Alessandro Fiorio — dominating the rally by winning every single stage.
Recalde led the event during the early stages, but a mechanical failure on the second day forced him to relinquish his lead. The rally concluded with a commanding all-Lancia podium: Ericsson first, Fiorio second, Recalde third.

🔴Abarth Reparto Esperienze — The “Red Sisters”🔴
After Argentina, the car returned to Turin and entered Abarth’s Reparto Esperienze (Experimental Department), where it was upgraded with the new 16-valve engine and repainted in Rosso Corsa. In doing so, it became one of the famed “Red Sisters” — a group of nine ex-Works cars redeployed by Lancia for development, testing, and competition purposes, all distinguished by their red livery.
In this configuration, the car was tested by Auriol at the Rallye des Cévennes, then continued to serve as a factory development car throughout 1990, primarily for gravel testing.

🔘Post-Works Career🔘
With the introduction of the 16-valve Delta HF Integrale, chassis 459811 was retired from factory duties. In February 1991, it was sold to Giancarlo Bianchini’s Motorsport Racing, where it competed in 10 events in Group A 16v configuration. The following year, it was sold as a bare shell to Follonica Corse, and converted to Group N specification for private customer use.
The car took part in several rounds of the Coppa Italia and Italian Rally Championship before being acquired by its final private owner in December 1993. Its last competition outing was in 1996, and it has remained untouched since, preserved in its final Group N specification.

🔥Today🔥
Still registered under its original Turin plate TO 16990M and first titled to FIAT Auto S.p.A., the car is accompanied by its factory-issued technical passport.
Most importantly, it retains the original bodyshell — upgraded by Abarth for the “heavy gravel” configuration — and still bears the distinctive FIA pink enamel seal, affixed by scrutineers to the left suspension turret during technical inspection at the 1989 Rally Argentina.
This represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most historically significant 8-valve Delta Integrales ever built — an authentic ex-Works Martini Racing car, winner of the Tour de Corse with Auriol, and podium-finisher in Argentina with Recalde.
The car has been deliberately preserved in its final state, allowing the next custodian to choose the most appropriate restoration path:
• Return it to its Tour de Corse-winning specification
• Recreate its Rally Argentina configuration
• Or restore it to its 🔴 RED 🔴 livery as test/recce car in 16v setup
