Ma7da Race Car – £9,975

Developed front-running Ma7da race car with proven wins, quality suspension, serious data kit, useful spares package, and initial setup support included.

Approx. 530 kg without driver and around 150 bhp at the wheels, giving roughly 280 bhp/tonne before driver/ballast. It is a very quick car and consistently one of the fastest things on track days.

Originally built as a Locost in 1999, I bought the car in 2006 and fully rebuilt it in 2008. When the Ma7da series was created, the car was converted and rebuilt again from the ground up as one of the early Ma7da cars.

It went on to win at Cadwell Park and Brands Hatch. In 2020, Scott Mansell from Driver 61 raced it at Snetterton and won on the road by 14 seconds, showing the pace in the car.

Since then, I’ve redeveloped the car and suspension properly. I’m a professional race engineer, and I modelled the suspension, specified the Quantum single-adjustable dampers, developed the setup through 4-post rig simulation, and validated it on track.

The result is a car that became more compliant, easier to drive, and faster. It was back at the front, including pole at Silverstone.
