Based on a genuine right-hand drive Mk1 Ford Escort road car, this RS replica was campaigned in Australian historic racing for most of its life. The car was built for racing by Mike Van Den Rydt around a clean all-steel bodyshell. It is fitted with a 1,975cc, alloy-blocked BDG but was re-sleeved to 1,600cc to meet the local Touring Car regulations in Australia. We believe this could be taken back to 2.0 spec.
