Crossle 9S
Description:
Built by Crossle in Northern Ireland in 2014. Three owners from new. Lightly used for sprint and hill climbing since Crossle Factory refresh in 2019. Not raced since Covid.
The 9S Zetec is visually similar to the historic car and is a modernised and simplified version of the original 1966 design with a reworked chassis and better protection for the driver, at an affordable price. Engine is a Ford Zetec 2-litre, running on carburettors and tuned to 230 BHP by Dunnell Engines, this particular car making 231.2 BHP (see 2019 dyno results). Gearbox is a Hewland Mk9 5-speed with series 5 (F3) gears and LSD.
This car is in extremely good condition, well sorted and not only suitable for Hill Climbing/sprinting (current set-up) but also circuit racing. It comes shod with Avon ACB10 as well as a spare set of minilite style wheels finished in satin black on Avon slicks, a set of circuit racing absorber springs marked 650Ibs, front and rear brake pad set (part worn). It would also make an extremely quick and light track day car.
