Volpini - Arzani Formula Junior Chassis 004 from 1958

Purchased in the late 1970s, likely in the United States, by Nazario Bacchi of Forli, one of the first and most important Italian collectors of classic racing cars, it was later passed on to Alfonzo di Patrizio of Teramo, then a BMW dealer, a well-known collector and friend of Taraschi. In 1988, it was purchased by Bologna-born driver Fabio Montani, who had it prepared to race in the Formula Junior championship, earning both the FIA ​​and CSAI certifications. After a few years of racing, it was purchased by a collector and never used again for several years.

Upon its arrival, it underwent a thorough mechanical restoration, with the following recently completed work:

Engine completely overhauled to 0 km/h

Transmission completely overhauled, with replacement of oil seals, bearings, and synchromesh.

Brakes completely overhauled (cylinders, master cylinder, hoses, brake shoes, and reworked drums)

4 new belted tires and 4 original vintage Borrani rims, overhauled

Electrical system checked, new battery, and perfect, working instruments

New aluminum fuel tank; all work is documented with photos.

Note the independent rear suspension (IRS), which makes this car very fast and fun to drive.

The car is complete with a vast array of spare parts, including several new parts such as the Stanguellini-type 4-pipe cylinder head, engines, camshafts, oversized oil pump, bevel gears, etc.
