The Corvette was first built into a race car by the famous US race team Legendary Motorcar (invoices on file) as a tribute to the famous Tony DeLorenzo L88 racecar. It was imported into UK in 2009 and subsequently has raced successfully across Europe in many prestigious championships and the FIA/HTP papers are valid until 31st December 2029.

Prepared to the highest standards with an excellent reliability record by Richard Moore, the car comes with an extensive spares package including a second gearbox and two spare final drive ratios custom built to handle the torque and power. The Peter Knight all-aluminium ZL1 V8 (most engines are iron) has ported GM aluminium heads, GM aluminium block, steel crank, Oliver Billet rods, JE pistons, a high-rise dual plane, hand-built Holley carb and a 4-stage dry-sump including valley scavenge. The engine was refreshed by Peter Knight in 2023 and has nominal time on it since this rebuild. Output is a conservative 650bhp and 600lb/ft of torque. The car has a bespoke silencer system currently fitted to suit the strict UK circuit noise restrictions.
