2008 mk5 golf gti.

 

Prepared to compete in hillclimbs and sprint events in the modified class. 

 

To compete in club level racing such as 750mc it would need a cut off switch, extinguisher system and some msa tow loops and it's ready to go.

 

Weighs approximately 1240kg with fluids and fuel. 

 

The car has had £1000's spent with Retroresus in Taunton since 2022 so they know me and the car fairly well, I've mainly dealt with Tom and Josh there. This includes:

6 point weld in roll cage

Chassis lightening

Rear suspension sandblast/power coat overhaul

Engine maintenance (injectors, rocker cover gasket, timing belt)

Wiring loom lightening

Lots of other smaller jobs too which I have invoices for

 

Timing belt is due 2026.

 

The front paint work is a little tired in places but good for it's age everywhere else. 

 

Comes with a spare set of wheels and multiple other spares such as diverter valves, maf sensor, coil packs, bluestuff ebc brake pads and more. 

 

It's last outing was October 2024, no issues with the car, it has never once let me down on circuit and has never needed to be recovered. I've focused a lot on reliability on this car and it's paid off with a very reliable turn key race prepared vehicle. 

 

It's just had 2 brand new Ns2r tyres on the rear and the fronts are about a year old but have covered less than 1000 road miles so almost new condition.
