For Sale: 1952 Cooper T18 MkVI, chassis 5210.

• 997cc Ford MAE newly rebuilt by JD Autoworx Ltd (with just 30 minutes of running-in time on it).
• Porsche 356A split-case box (fully rebuilt by PRS Porsche with close ratios and lower ratio Speedster crown wheel – zero miles)
• New Avo shocks all round. New rear springs (original shocks and springs included).
• New brake shoes, brake cylinders and battery.
• Tyres have one season of use - plenty of tread depth remaining.
• Was converted to FJ in 1960, one of two such existing conversions.
   
• Car History: Exported to Rhodesia in 1954 (probably by the Ferguson brothers) with original Norton 500cc engine  and thought to have then been sold-on immediately to Jimmy de Villiers (of Cooper Bristol fame). Cooper 5210 retained original spec until at least 1958 and was then converted to its current FJ spec for a mooted South African FJ series. The conversion was engineered by Ray Reed (who built and raced REAL Alfa engine F1 cars). The car then went to ground until bought at auction by South African motor-sport historian Brian Tyler who researched the car and raced it. In 2015 Brian exported the car back to UK and sold it to Alvin Davies who has since rebuilt and raced the car.
   
• OMP FIA extinguisher, foam filled tanks. In-date Sparco belts.
• Current FIA rollover hoop – designed and made by Performance Fabrications.
• The car was in South Africa for 51 years, now in UK - since 2015.
• Eligible for all top events (Goodwood, Copenhagen Grand Prix, Lurani Trophy, Nurburgring Classic, Pau etc) - As a unique car it is very attractive to promoters.
• Comes with a copy of 2005 South African FIA HTP, with pictures.
• Last raced in the UK Silverline Championship in 2017, overhauled since. The engine was tested and run-in at Snetterton in 2022, with the gearbox has been fully rebuilt since.
• The car has not been repainted to retain a nice level of patina, while being in good rebuilt working order.
• The car can be immediately raced in the UK FJ championship invitation class, and in Class C1 once its FIA papers have been reissued.
