Built from a straight & solid year 2000 donor road car V5 present. Pictures pre, post & during build available upon request.

I have personally owned the car since late 2021 when the build began, I then started racing it competitively in 2022 & have had 11 podium finishes up until the end of 2024.

The race car is fully developed to a high standard, had been loved well & raced regularly since built. The reason for sale it’s because I’m getting married & trying to buy a house & so I need to raise some funds in order to do so.

The engine on this car has been in since the beginning of 2024 & was donated from a 50k mile road car & has only ever run on Shell V-Power fuel. On its first time out racing since the install, the car qualified 1st in class & 3rd overall, finally placing 2nd in the actual race. It has since run seamlessly & been extremely competitive. Currently running 270bhp. The infamous AOS failure that 986’s are known for has been bypassed & resolved by an alternative ‘reroute & catch tank’ system which works fantastically.

The car runs Toyo Sport 986 race exhaust which is one of just a handful of race exhaust options for the 3.2 986 set up. 

To add to the car’s set up, this car has had 4 new coffin arms & Powerflex polybush upgrades all round, as well as H&R stiffened anti rollbars both front & rear.

It runs GazGold adjustable dampers which were refurbished in 2023 & Pagid RS29 brake pads all round with slotted/vented brembo discs which are teamed with LiquiMoly R4 race fluid brake fluid  & GT3 brake ducts for extra cooling & stopping power & reliability.

Equipped with the Porsche’s official short shift gear lever. The car now has a reinforced throttle pedal after breaking 3 pedals from the standard set-up road car. It basically now contains a lot more metal in place of previously plastic parts. 

Bodywork wise, the bonnet, boot lid & the panel over the engine have all been on a diet with reduced metal in ‘non structural areas’.

Recent work (since last race): 

986’s are known for losing 2nd gear & the car runs (as most do) a stock box. At the end of 2024 the car struggled with 2nd gear & has since had a gearbox swap to a much newer, fresher gearbox. It’s also had an oil change, a new o2 sensor & rear right wheel bearing. All just general wear & tear work but important details

to keep a race car like this one competing near the front.

I’m currently running another 986 Boxster S in the family, but the only thing I’m keeping from this car is just a spare set of wheels, thus the car comes on black & silver genuine BBS split rim Porsche alloys with UniRoyal rainsport tyres (my wets) they’re a set of staggered 18” wheels, as is the same with ALL race set ups for these cars.
