This car is a significant Australian delivered rhd 240z, one of a small handful of racing 240 Zeds from the prolific era of 80’s/90’s Marque Sports racing - a vintage Z racer with great history and some very special components in its specification.

I previously owned this car as my daily driver and weekend track day car in the late 80’s through to early 90’s. At that time it was carrying its factory colour of metallic brown 114 where with limited budget I successfully campaigned in MSCA Vic super sprints, with round wins, overall class wins for the season and club championships. I subsequently log booked it as Class 2B Marque Sports where it was also campaigned in radial class at state level. From the early 90’s to 2000 it found a new home where it undertook further development to be regularly campaigned as a front runner in Marque Sports, taking it up to the Porsche’s, Jaguars, Lotus’s, Alfa’s, etc. of the day, culminating in a best finish of second place overall during one season. It was during this period where it first wore a mainly white colour scheme with Eureka flag on roof and red and blue stripes on sides, later changed to the Giallo Fly (Yellow) scheme that it currently wears today. It was also campaigned in at least one Targa Tasmania in its white scheme. With the addition of the modern Supercars to the Marque Sports eligibility list, by the year 2000, the class became populated by the more modern Audi’s and Porsche’s among other cars and the Z became uncompetitive. It was moved on to a new owner who campaigned it in various hill climbs, sprints and historic events up until his passing in 2016. The car was in mothballs for a few years and then found its way back home to me in 2019, where it has been sorted and refined using the best available resources and components in sympathy to the Marque Sports category that it was originally log booked for. Recent participation includes at Bathurst and in MSCA Vic super sprints including round class wins. Unfortunately, due to non-life threatening health issues, it’s no longer viable for me to campaign this Z however I concede that it needs to be on the track where it has been for the past 30 plus years and it needs a new home.

Whilst this magnificent Z is turn-key ready to race, it is for sale as is - unregistered, and the buyer should consider at a minimum replacement of fuel, oil, fluids, filters and thorough inspection of brake system and safety devices.
