ALD #03 Group C2 Sport Prototype

In the mid-1980s, racing driver and manufacturer Louis Descartes decided to build cars to compete in the World Sport Prototype Championship from 1985 to 1991.

Initially designed with an Audi Turbo 4-cylinder engine, Louis Descartes decided to install the BMW 6-cylinder engine from the M1, given its lack of performance.

This is the most successful ALD, completely reconditioned in 1990 by Louis Descartes before offering it at auction to the previous owner.
He sold it to its last owner in 2012.

Because of its simple and economical design, the ALD will allow you to compete in prestigious Group C endurance races for a budget significantly lower than other participants. With an 11th place (overall) at Le Mans in 1987, its performance is well proven.

The engine has just been rebuilt, and the harnesses, fire extinguishers and fuel tanks will all be up to standard.
