Description:

Ex Simon Moyse Gould GR59, a well known and very competitive car in national class K2 or class 5D at Harewood.  A regular top 12 run off qualifier in the Midland Hillclimb Championship and has also appeared in top 12 run offs in the BHC.  Best times are:

Spec as follows:

-          Mark Fisher built 1300cc Rotrex supercharged Hayabusa engine on methanol, refreshed by Mark in 2024 and run in 3 club meetings at Harewood, a total of 19 competitive runs up the hill.  Mark knows his stuff and has built many class winning bike engines.  Estimated at 400bhp with rev limit set at a safe 10500rpm

-          Life Racing ECU, mapping by Mike Parry.

-          Nova Racing gearbox with neutral below first and custom gearset

-          Pneumatic gearchange with clutchless flat upshifts and auto blip on downshifts

-          Diff rebuilt in 2024 with new bearings and shims

-          Alternator and charging system reinstated in 2024 so there is now some certainty you will get to the top of the hill without the battery going flat!

-          New fuel pump fitted 2023

-          Supercharger rebuilt 2023 with new internals

-          New belts fitted 2023 in date to end of 2028

-          New rear discs fitted 2024

-          Water pump replaced with stronger alloy version in 2024

-          Engine preheater -it’s not very sophisticated but it does the job and also warms your hands up.

Simon did have an accident in the car at Prescott in 2022 and damaged the front wing, wishbones and an upright.  The wing has been repaired, wishbones replaced and the steel upright has been TIG brazed and plated to further strengthen it.

The car comes with a large spares package:

-          Freshly built 0 miles spare engine with new pistons/rods/crank/cams/dry sump pump etc, just completed by Mark Fisher to the same specification as the engine currently fitted.  It only needs the supercharger and airbox swapped over before fitting in the car.  The build cost of this engine was £16k

-          1 sets of wheels with AVON slicks new in 2024 used for the 3 club meetings at Harewood

-          1 set of wheels with brand new unused AVON slicks new in 2024

-          1 set of wheels with brand new unused AVON wets new in 2024

-          2 x spare fuel pumps, one repaired in 2023 one needs returning to Fuel Labs for repair (lifetime warranty, repair is free)

-          Spare nose cone

-          Spare water pump

-          Spare lithium batteries for starter and other car systems

-          Shared spares package with other GR59 owners that gives access to a new front wing and full wishbone set.

This is a mighty car and with a good driver is capable of qualifying for BHC run offs and getting a number next year.
