Description:
Emerson Fittipaldi (Nick-name Emmo or Raton), following his great experience in Formula 1, and with the help of the Brazilian government which supported the sponsorship of the Brazilian Sugar Cooperative COPER-SUCAR, managed to build a construction team made in Brazil .
In 1973 the adventure began with the FD 01, to then continue in the following years without particular successes.
Even if, from certain points of view, it was an innovative car, it was also thought to build it without a wing, and this led to the raising of appendages on the sides.
In the '77, '78 and '80 championships, Team Fittipaldi Copersucar managed to stay in the top ten of the championship.
In 1979 we moved to the F6 designed by Bellamy, a honeycomb monocoque built by Embraer, historic technical partner of the team.
It's the ground effect period but the team is struggling to find the details that can make it competitive.
It remains an iconic car, thanks also to the shape and the livery design that is still pleasant and very fascinating 45 years later.
It was fitted with the classic Cosworth DFV and Hewland gearbox.
The car we present, F6-2, was used as a mule by Fittipaldi at the Italian GP in Monza and, later, by Alex Ribeiro for the two races in the States, where, however, he failed to qualify.
In 1982 the team was sold to ADA Engineering, which sold our F6-2 in 1983 to the well-known Italian collector A. Ripamonti (purchase invoice and customs documents available).
It has been used a few times, in past years, for some exhibitions and, after some time, in May 2024 the car was exhibited in Fuoriconcorso on Lake Como shore.
Totally restored and never used, the car is in excellent condition and is available
some spare parts and tools, as well as a set of wheels.
A car that guarantees participation in major and exclusive international events.
