This has been the Abarth Racing UK development car, my road car and as of late Michael (our computer genius)’s road car.  It is the car featured on our website.  We have all the parts back to the original 135bhp specification but it is currently probably the fastest road legal 500 in the world.  It is certainly has more power than the AC500s being raced in the UK, but has comfy seats, trim and soundproofing.  I has never been damaged even after many track miles.  It is a brilliant track day or sprint and hillclimb car.

The engine is essentially stock (we have tried fancy pistons etc but the standard Fiat components are brilliant at up to 8000rpm) and it has wanted for nothing.  We have just swapped it back toa TT260 turbo   The flywheel is a lightweight solid unit with a hybrid clutch.  The gearbox is a late type 5 speed with electronic limited slip.

The front wishbones have spherical bearings fitted for precise steering, the struts are AVO monotube with relatively soft springs.  The rear has properly fitted negative camber spacers and AVO dampers with suitable springs.  Currently it is sitting on 15” wheels with Nankang AR1 tyres.

The roll cage is bolt-in, it was the prototype for the one make celebrity cars that we built, but they only had the rear hoop.  We have the leather rear seat and trims, but currently the rear has a flat panel and carpet.

As we have taken off a lot of expensive goodies the price has been dropped.
