Description:

This well known historic, race prepared, road legal sports car has an extensive racing history directly from its initial production in June 1960 when it was taken by Alexander Engineering to be used as their demonstrator and competed by them to the end of 1962.

Launched at a Press Day at Goodwood in July 1960 with a feature article and 'Road Test' in Motor magazine on 10th August 1960. It was competed in period at numerous circuits including the Goodwood Members Meeting and at Shelsley Walsh hillclimb.

A significant car within the Turner Sportscar Club.

Since 1986 it has raced with the HSCC in HRS championship. It achieved several class wins and won the Championship in 1996 with Chris Horner, before being taken over by Dick Coffey who won the championship 4 times plus 8 season class wins.

It is currently race ready with a Tillet lightweight seat and up to date six point harness and fire extinguisher fitted. It is eligible to run with the HSCC HRS, the CSCC Swinging ‘60s and the Equipe Pre’63 series.

Powered by a Ford 1300cc pre-crossflow engine with twin 40 DCOE Webers, 2000E 4 speed semi close-ratio gearbox, a Peter May uprated rear axle with racing halfshafts and stiffened front suspension with camber adjustment.

Comes with many race spares, including an engine block and race head, differentials (3.9, 4.2, 4.55), spare set of 4 alloy wheels and Dunlop L historic tyres, spare bonnets, a rare windscreen and a hardtop.
