Ford Transit 470 Minibus/Race Truck (2015)

1 previous owner. Brand new engine. Only 1100 miles covered since December 2024.

We purchased the van to convert to a “race truck” but plans have now changed so sadly we must sell. 

Rare 4.7t van with 2.2ltr 160bhp Renewed Engine.

2.2 ton payload 

can tow up to 3.5 tons, hence it is an ideal race support and tow vehicle.

We have spent thousands on this vehicle. 

Work includes;-

Brand New Engine - still under warranty until December 2024 (odd reading 125550).

New Injectors.

New Glow Plugs.

New Dual Mass Flywheel, clutch and slave cylinder.

New Turbo.

Refurbished alternator and starter motor.

New power steering hoses.

Many new Water Hoses.

New Front Drop Links.

New Brake Pads all round.

And many other parts as needed.

The van passed its MOT first time with advisories on brake pipes which have since been cleaned up.

The Engine is mapped to around 160 bhp so the van is pretty lively and drives like a new van!

The van is currently divided with plywood and has a lined rear boot area ideal for shelving and storage for race car parts and tools or instruments etc. 

The rear area has high level led lighting and provides a spacious rear area.

Accessed from the sliding side door, the remaining space has 7 individual seats with inbuilt seat belts. Currently we have 5 rear seats in place, however the aluminium floor rails allow the seats to be positioned in any configuration and they can removed easily if the space is needed or you require a different layout. The two additional seats will be supplied with the vehicle.

The rear passenger area has an independent diesel Eberspacher 801 heater with digital thermostatic control. 

Above the seats there are incredibly well built overhead luggage racks to each side with netting which include inbuilt 12 volt charging points. 

There are LED roof lights. There are two roof mounted fans separately switched for ventilation. Above the drivers cab is a secure locker. All side windows are shatter proof polycarbonate sheet and are dark tinted and the doors feature additional security deadlocks that can be implemented from within the vehicle.

The cab area features fully adjustable front heated seats, with access to the rear between. There is a rear parking camera with full colour screen built into the interior mirror, parking sensors front and rear and electric folding mirrors. The cab also benefits from air conditioning. The side windows are polycarbonate so effectively the vehicle has been riot proofed, so is quite probably the most secure vehicle you can buy! Even the front screen has been over laminated in shatter proof polycarbonate!

There are a few small age related dinks and dents, but overall it looks as good in real life as it does in the photos.

You won’t be able to build another van to this specification for this price, as you can imagine we have seriously overspent..
