We are pleased to present this superb Lola T210, a historic racing vehicle with an impressive track record. This model, manufactured in 1970, is a sports prototype with an 1850cc FVC engine and a chassis number SL210/16. This exceptional car is ready to race, with current technical approval, and is offered 100% race ready. The original chassis, including the Arch Motor number, comes with the car.

The Lola T210 was first delivered to Mike Hailwood on August 18, 1970, for the Springbok Championship in South Africa. Hailwood, accompanied by David Hobbs, drove this car in the famous 9 Hours of Kyalami on November 7, 1970, finishing in 15th place overall. Subsequently, Hailwood participated in several races in Africa, including the 3 Hours of Cape Town, Lourenço Marques, Bulawayo, and Roy Hesketh.

In 1971, Mike Hailwood transformed the car into the T212 model before selling it to André Verwey. Verwey, partnered with Eddie Keizan, raced the car in the Springbok series, finishing in an honorable 4th place in the first race in South Africa. They participated again in the 9 Hours of Kyalami, achieving a 12th place finish. In a memorable race at Lourenço Marques, despite covered headlights and difficult nighttime conditions, Verwey finished in an impressive 2nd place.

After 1971, the car was imported to Angola by Antonio Peixinho. In the Luanda race, Verwey, who had become the circuit director, participated and achieved several successes. Subsequently, the car changed hands several times, including to Albuquerque and journalist Jorge Pego. The Lola participated in several races in Angola and achieved notable results, including a victory and several podiums.

In 1985, Stein Johnsen acquired the car and imported it to Sweden, where it remained until 2021. That year, the current owner, bought it and brought it back to Belgium. Chris Fox, a Lola specialist in England, came to see the car and completely rebuilt it to its original 1970 condition, identical to when Mike Hailwood raced it at Kyalami. The car has since participated in only two races in CER1 and with Masters, and it is certainly one of the fastest Lola T210s.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire a Lola T210 with impeccable provenance in immaculate condition which is eligible for all prime istoric sports car races such as Le Mans Classic, Peter Auto's CER1 and Masters World Sportscars.

The car is fitted with a fresh FVC engine from Geoff Richardson and a Hewland FT200 gearbox. Fresh htp papers until 2034. If you need more informations about the car. Contact me at 0032475669431 or by email : guillaume@gtrs60.be
