This is now going to auction on: https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2003-dallara-f303
- This Dallara F303 is a single-seat racer, previously driven in the 2004 Formula 3 Euro Series season by Nico Rosberg under the ownership of his father Keke Rosberg’s race team ‘Team Rosberg GmbH’.
- Power comes from the 2.0-litre Spiess Opel engine, paired with a six-speed sequential transmission.
- It is currently set up for use in the UK Monoposto Racing Series. However, it can reportedly be easily put back to its original higher downforce configuration.
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
- This Dallara F303 is wrapped in a green livery with gold-toned detailing, as well as ‘45’ numbering on the rear wing, sponsorship decals from Spiess, Ewan Partners, and Helga, and the current driver’s name ‘J. Krogdahl’. The paintwork underneath the wrap is the original black and white combination, and can be seen in the photo gallery.
- Equipment includes carbon-fibre front and rear wings, 13-inch ATS wheels with Pirelli P Zero tyres, Brembo brakes, a Sparco three-spoke steering wheel with shift lights and digital display, a Schroth Racing harness, an Odyssey Extreme battery, a Premier fuel system (which was FIA-compliant until January 2022), an FEV fire suppression system, and Koni Racing shock absorbers.
- The seat is a custom-moulded two-part resin item fitted for the current driver and should be remade for its future owner.
- It will be accompanied by its Team Rosberg DMSB German Motor Sport Federation Car Pass and a collection of various spare parts, including the ‘fast filler’ fuel drum attachment, a fast start plug-in battery pack, wing end plate patterns, and two full sets of spare wheels and tires (see photos) – one set of Pirelli slicks and one set of Avon wets. There is also another set of spare Pirelli slick tires that have had just one heat cycle.
CONDITION
- Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition.
- Specific notes from the seller include: some chips to the original paint.
SERVICE HISTORY
- The car has reportedly covered circa 350 miles since the last engine rebuild, and 150 miles since the last gearbox rebuild.
- Recently replaced parts include the battery, pushrod turnbuckles, wheel bearings, fire extinguisher, safety harness, rear wing endplates, gearbox spacer, engine oil, oil filter, gearbox oil, brake fluid, and head restraint trim. These are all based in Sevenoaks, Kent.
- The seller notes that circa £5,000 has been spent on preparing the car for a Monoposto race season, though the car did not compete.
