A well-known vehicle on the historic racing scene. This car,  “Gracie” is competitive and the star of the show at most race weekends for the quality and attention to detail of the build and her proven reliability.  Note: Gracie is not to be confused with similar looking but totally inferior Academy cars.

Meticulous rebuild at vast cost only part-recovered as priced, hence price.  Bare metal respray completed by world renowned paint specialists, Normandale.

Completed 2019, all dated components are replaced 2024 for sale ready to go racing this year.  Just 4 race weekends use means Gracie is in as fresh condition.  Bought during CV19 and tested once since then.  Stored since as part of a managed collection (ie run & maintained).  Reluctantly for sale as owner now focused on road tours rather than track events as organiser.

Vehicle specification. (not exhaustive) 

- Fully seam welded shell with rear arches widened to accommodate wider track.

- 6-Point bolt in, custom roll cage with additional front and rear bulk-head brace bars.

- Tillet B6 Screamer seat and mounts with optional extra padding. Sparco 6-point harnesses. (in date but will be replaced prior to sale)

- removable Cobra tuition seat and six-point  harness and both seats braced with spreader plates externally 

- Steel wings, bonnet and boot to comply with Historic regulations in some classes but also comes with painted to match, light-weight GRP replacements that can bolt straight on for other championships.

- Lexan window kit with sprung opening front windows.

- 1293 Race Engine specification. 140bhp approx. 680kg approx.

- Fully adjustable suspension damping with easy, on-car adjustment.

- Straight cut, close ratio, 4-speed gearbox with uprated main shaft.

- Limited slip differential running a 4.2 final drive ratio. EN40 Steel half-shafts.

- Lowered rear leaf springs with custom spring rate.

- Uprated front anti-roll-bar and custom front springs on ride height adjustable platforms.

- Rear axle A-Frame support bar system. (Anti-tramp)

- Twin piston front brake calipers with Mintex racing pads.

- Braided brake lines with bias adjustment.

- Vented rear drums

- Rose jointed steering arms.

- Electronic trigger Lifeline extinguisher system ported to engine bay.

- Custom 40 litre fuel tank with Facet Gold-Flo, high pressure fuel pump.   All fuel lines replaced new 2023.

- Weller wheels x8.  Tyres

- Spares package as found.

A magnificent little car that is ready to race and be competitive in numerous championships across the UK and Europe. Totally flawless. Test drives can be arranged at potential purchasers expense at Croft. Car is road legal but a circuit drive is the only way to appreciate this cars potential.

Builder, DS Motorsport UK Ltd. has 15 years proven experience building and running race cars and 3 years experience running A35s in the HRDC championship with multiple class wins and trophy success.
