Description:
1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Spider Veloce
Originally delivered to Germany as confirmed by Alfa Romeo, it was built as a FIA racer in the 90s and succesfully campaigned all over Europe in the 90s and early 2000s. It later found a new enthusiastic owner in Scotland who also campaigned it in Europe with a historically important outright win at Monza in 2010 Coppa Intereuropa - Scuderia del Portello. A period of relaxation followed where the Spider was almost put back to road spec - Sunday cafe racer. In 2021 it was picked up by me and restored to perfection putting the original dash and switches back, engine rebuild by reputable specialist offering 139bhp at 6,500rpm with dyno printout, gearbox rebuilt with Bacci Romano gears, rear axle rebuilt by Cloverleaf Transmissions with Gripper LSD and correct CWP. We have painstakingly restored and improved the Spider over the last 2 years, no stones untouched, and it rewarded us every single time with class wins or podiums. If you are looking for an incredibly pretty car, well admired everywhere, 100% reliable over nearly 20 hours of circuit time, look no further!
UK road registered with V5, export options and transport available.
Eligible to race at Goodwood, HSCC, Equipe GTS, CSCC, Modena CDO, Peter Auto, Masters, HRDC. Can be converted back to a road going two seater if required for long distance rallies or Sunday cafe racer. We would be delighted to support it going forward either race rally or road.
I might px with performance road car + cash my way. Selling due to moving to classic Jaguar racing.
