1969 Lotus Elan Plus 2 Race Car - Chassis Number 50/2072

Highly developed car with Gathercole 1600cc Lotus twin cam engine, 180bhp, approx 5 hours use.

Straight cut 3J Driveline 2000E 4 speed gearbox.

New 4:1 LSD, billet half shafts, new diff carrier with strengthening bar and uprated mounts, recent rebuild by South West Lotus Specialists.

Extensive development work carried out using TTR parts, Koni adjustable rear dampers, fully rebuilt new rear end using alloy uprights and adjustable strut tubes, including TTR competition driveshafts, strengthened hubs, hubshafts and bearings. New front strengthened hubs, stub axles and bearings, all fitted to Bilstein Dampers. Custom adjustable Rear ARB and new 1" Front ARB, all above with 2 hours use. All parts fitted to ensure maximum strength and reliability.

50 Litre foam-filled fuel tank, facet pump and aeroquip hoses.

Fully stripped interior with custom alloy dashboard, 6 point harness, multipoint cage and competition seat, with Firesense plumbed in electronic extinguisher.

Bodywork, fibreglass and paint all in very good condition.

Extensive chassis and development work carried out by RM Historics, resulting in a fast and competitive car, with all consumable items in date, on the button and ready to race. Ideal for CSCC Swinging Sixties Series or HSCC Guards Trophy.
