History: 

This car is the first of only 2 Sierra based cars built by The Swiss touring car team Eggenberger Motorsport. Proved to be so significant in the chassis development , and forged the way for Ford Touring Car domination for the remainder of the decade.

 

Built for the 1986 ETCC campaigned by Steve Soper  Klaus Niedzwiedz

Notable Results: 

• 13.04.1986 – Hockenheim Q P9 – Finished 3rd

• 02.08.1986 – SPA 24 hr – Q P10- finished 7th

• 14.09.1986 – Nogaro – Q P2 – Finished 4th

• 19.10.1986 – Estoril -Q P2 – Finished 1st

Shipped to New Zealand for Steve Soper & Neville Crichton to race in the Wellington Street Race.

Neville Crichton purchased the car for the Nissan-Mobil races in New Zealand. Then he took it over to Australia for the Shell Ultra Touring car championship.

Mark Petch then bought the car to race as a Cosworth then as RS 500.
