MK1 Lotus Cortina Historic Touring Car

All parts purchased pre covid, parts a lot more expensive now, if even available.

Currently in need of paint and assembly, this replica Lotus Cortina has been a log booked racing car since the 1990's under CAMS/Motorsport Australia regs Group Nb/Appendix J. Alloy caged and successfully campainged by several owners.

Purchased in 2019, I have undergone a full body and mechanical rebuild. Body was stripped bare and sandblasted. Every bit of rust remved and repaired with reproduction panels from Expressed Panels, NOS panels or fabricated parts. Brand new alloy door, boot and bonnett skins fitted. Bakerginn reproduction genuine A Frame chassis mounts, A frame, radius arms and diff mounts fitted. Strengthened body shell. Diff bump fitted. Nothing was left un repaired. BRAND NEW engine bottom end. Brand new Ford motorsport block, Arrow Crank, Carillo Rods, JE Pistons and everything else. Burtons timing cover with removeable waterpump and spare pump. Crank scrapers, flywheel, clutch, ARP fasteners, Cometic Gaskets. Everything you need to build the engine. Fresh high HP head with big cams, new springs etc.

All parts have been powder coated, hydroblasted and zinc plated.

Brand new alloy gearbox housings. Rebuilt/reconditioned sub assemblies: steering box, brakes, lights, carburettors, gearbox, diffs, hubs.

Brand new specially developed german KW coil over suspension kit I deveopled in conjuction with KW.

Brand new dash panel, guages, Aldridge door trims, trims, lenses, badges.

I have everything to assembly car. All purchased new or reconditioned.

Comes with 2 diff ratios in alloy noses, 2 sets of wheels, plenty of spares.

Car needs to be painted and assembled. Wired and plumbed.

Major things you will need. Steering wheel, seat, axles, harness. Everything else is there.

I build race cars for a living so I do things right. Just have no time for this project. Spent over $150,000AUD on parts. Excluding my labour to build sub assemblies.
