Description:

Car was purchased in March 2016 and was an ex race car converted from a K Series C400 to a Cosworth Duratec C400 spec.  Has always been a race car and never a road car.  In 2016 I had the gearbox rebuilt and used for track days only.  No racing. 

Then over the winter of 2020/2021 I stripped the vehicle and rebuilt with no expense spared (spent £15k taking my spend total to £37k) to get the ultimate Caterham C400 race car/track car. 

During the build all the nuts and bolts were replaced for new along with:

• New dedion
• New ears
• New high spec rear bearing carriers
• New wheels bearings all round
• New drive shafts
• New wheel studs and nuts,
• New front hubs stub axels & bearings
• shocks re-valved and serviced by Bilstein to CSR spec
• New FIA bespoke bag tank with integral pump
• New fire extinguisher system
• New fuel lines
• New rear diff
• New prop shaft bearings
• New clutch actuation system,
• New rack mounts

The car has done one track day since.

 

We have a Box file with all of the receipts from the build and previous details from the last owner.  The car was rebuilt 3hrs of use ago by a chartered engineer working in the automotive business for the last 34years who is slightly OCD….

 

Engine

• Sealed Cosworth Duratec
• New ECU mapped by Track & Road (Steve Greenald)
• 237bhp at 8500rpm – curve available

• Premier Fuel Systems bespoke FIA bag tank with integral high pressure pump & filter – in date
• New fuel lines – Aeroquip style throughout – NO Jubilee clips!!
