Original Ferrari 250 GT Lusso Tipo 168 V12 engine for sale.

With the original chassis number and numero interno stampings, this engine suffered a rod failure in the '70s and was swapped for a replacement by Maranello Concessionaires. 

It entered the current long term ownership many years ago with the intention of rebuilding for use in another Ferrari. The rebuild didn't progress further than some repair to the skirts of the crankcase.

Today, the V12 is disassembled and the extent of the damage can be seen as not being very bad. The sump appears to have taken most of the hit. Aside from the front timing covers and one piston and rod, the V12 is almost complete parts wise.

The set of three Weber 40DCL6 carburettors, still attached to the air filter and inlet manifolds are present.

The V12 is located near Cheltenham in England. 

An original Ferrari Tipo 508F gearbox is also available.
