2002 MAN L2000 8.163F/K 4.25 Beavertail covered car transporter.

Originally built for the Ecurie 25 super car club for moving their super cars around the country. I purchased it in September 2020 where it had come straight off commercial work delivering super cars and had been highly maintained with 6 weekly inspections being carried out. 

I purchased this truck after Harry Metcalfe posted a tweet of it for sale saying if anyone wants a good truck the same as his this is available. 

Truck features 

• curtain sides which can be opened to assist loading 
• Electric winch with wired control powered off the truck battery 
• Aluminium fold up rear ramps.
• Interior LED lights and rear LED loading lamps
• 3 channel camera system currently fitted with rear view camera and interior camera so you can view the load in the back live. Including night mode. 
• Manual tachograph but does not need to be calibrated or even used for private use
• No speed limiter so the truck will sit at 60mph on the motorway. Is handy not getting stuck trying to overtake other lorry’s.
• Manual fuel pump so minimal electrics to worry about on the engine
• Good tyres all round 
• Chrome wheel trims 
• Rear air suspension with in cab adjustment controls
• 5 speed manual gearbox 
• The truck was maintained on the o licence with the previous owner. Since my ownership I have overhauled the fuel tank, fitted new exhaust, welded new floor section in the rear. I have serviced it every year including oil change, oil filter and air filter.
• Has mot until 31/05/23. It had one advisory which was corrosion on the rear discs which the tester said was probably from standing and just wants a good brake cycle. 
• Tax is £165 for the year, good on fuel does around 22-24mpg at 50mph. Insurance is around £200 for the year. 
• Classed as 7.5 ton so can be driven on a car license if passed before 1997
• Tow bar fitted so can tow 3.5 tons.
• Has been stored inside whilst in my ownership with limited use. 
• In good solid condition, all I was planning on doing is going over the underside with a wire brush and painting, having the wheels sand blasted and painted and new bottom in the battery tray. 
• Mileage is 84k km but I believe it may of a had a new tacho at some point. 

In my ownership I have used it for moving vintage vehicles and race cars. It can carry a 3.8 ton payload. I used the truck to move two race cars one in the truck with all the spares and tools and one on a trailer behind. 

Great useful truck with low running costs. Also doubles up as a useful garage. Has been very reliable and only selling due to buying a new trailer. Ready for work or private use. Any questions please ask.
