Ferrari 550 Maranello
This is my Ferrari 550 club sport race car.
I have developed/built this car over the past eight years with great passion and countless hours from a mint 98' street car. All the knowledge from my professional motorsport engineering career went into this build. The result is a one of a kind club sport/track day race car, that is not only rapid, but also has excellent reliability and great handling.
The aim was never to create a fully stripped down race car, so it still features the full Ferrari interior (minus sound deadening, sound system, etc.) with all the leather in excellent condition. I always wanted to keep that luxury feeling that makes you feel so special when driving a Ferrari. It also features the rare fiorano interior carbon package with lots of carbon trim.
Nearly every aspect of the car has been touched to either improve reliability or performance. It is too much to mention, but below our some of the main modifications:
Engine partialy rebuild with new seals, Hill Engineering bearings, tentioners, belts, oil and water pump. All injectors rebuilt and tested. All hoses (oil/water) replaced with highest quality motorsport hoses and converted to AN fittings. New servo pump and starter. Pipercross air filters. Custom ram-air carbon intake. AC compressor delete. Tubi decat with Larini center section and rear boxes.
All new fuel system with dual surge tanks, HP pump and filter per bank. Pressure sensors for each bank with ATL capacitive fuel sender in main tank for percise level readings.
Highly developed cooling system, with custom water, oil, and servo cooler. Larger 612 water pump, housing and pully. Extensive ducting. The car can be run at Italien summer temperatures (+35°) for as many laps as you like.
Gearbox rebuilt with new bearings, forks, synchros, guides, etc..
Nitron 3-way clevis mount custom suspension. Full uniball suspension and swaybar. Not a single rubber bushing is left anywhere. Titanium wheel studs to accept wider 10.5" wheels front and rear. Wheel bearings replaced.
Large Brembo 6 piston brakes with two-piece motorsport rotors. Indipendent AP racing master cylinders f/r with balance bar. All new braided brake lines with quick disconnect. ABS removed.
Cobra full carbon seats with Schroth 6-point harness. Club sport roll over bar with side impact protection.
Genuine Michelotto carbon rear wing. 550 GTS front hood and boot lid. Windscreen replaced with genuine Ferrari item at great expense.
Full AIM data logging system with EVO5 logger SmartyCam2 and GT Steering wheel.
Power: 500hp - dyno sheet available
With the car come all the orginal Ferrari parts that were removed/changed during the build, bonnet, lid, ABS, Daytona seats, steering wheel, coolers, etc.. They are all in excellent condition. Care was always taken to be able to reverse all modification made. A freshly rebuilt AC compressor and 3 full sets of 10.5" Speedline magnesium wheels are also included.
Depending on the country, the car could be made road legal with some minor modifications. All original handbooks, service documentation, leather pouch and Swiss registration papers are supplied.
This car is a rare chance to experience the true Ferrari V12 sound and emotions at an affordable price.
I have achieved everything I set out to and more with this project. Time has now come for someone else to enjoy this fantastic car.
