This very efficient Ford Escort will complete a collection or will be a ticket of choice for anyone wishing to enter the world of historic rallying through the front door.

Prepared in Finland, a reference country for extreme specials, this Ford MK2 has taken part on several occasions in the Kuntokatsastus Rally and the Hämeen Rally with Jarkko LEPISTO at the wheel.

Imported by our company into Europe under Belgian license plate, it is now accompanied by its sports booklet from the Royal Automobile Club of Belgium (RACB). In Belgium, the car is eligible in the "SR" category for the regional Historic Rally Events events but also for national events such as the "Legend Boucles of Bastogne". It is also eligible for Sporting Regularity events.

The car has been completely overhauled and will be delivered with a set of dirt type rims and a set of asphalt type rims. Straight cut, close ratio four-speed H-shaped gearbox, Group 4 front and rear axles specifications, wide tracks, direct steering, coilovers suspensions, big brakes… It is not an entry level MK2. The 2.0-litre “Pinto” four-cylinder engine, with more than 200 hp, makes it a weapon of choice.

For France, this car requires a modification of the injection and ignition system as well as the validation of an FFSA representative in order to evolve in Historic Racing. By installing a DCOE carburettor system and a mechanical ignition, it can obtain a “Classic” Passport which will derogate from the homologation form 5566 and its annexes.
