Description:

This is a Cosworth DFV 8-cylinder Lucas MK1 mechanical metering unit with 8mm shuttles and a Cosworth BDA mechanical fuel pump. Both items were made and date marked in 1973. They were purchased from the famous Hall and Hall of Folkingham (now located in Bourne) in 1986.

This fuel injection set-up was then used on a one-off Bentley 6.3 litre V8 race engine very successfully in the late 80s and 90s.

The BRM P101 V12 pulley drive housing you see attached to the metering unit was driven from the Bentley camshaft. This original BRM part alone is extremely rare.

The whole fuel injection system was last used on the Bentley engine in 2005 and worked fine. It was removed from the Bentley V8 engine in 2006 only because of a rule change of now having to use carburettors.

Everything you see in the photographs is included: metering unit, fuel pump, BRM drive housing, all the pipes, gold anodised fuel filter, pressure relief valve, everything. £ offers
