Description:
1965 MGB pull handle race/rally car. A competition car from new, with detailed history file showing many major events, successes and expenditure including recent works. Low road mileage. Only 2 owners from new the first being one family. Finished in Iris Blue, de-seamed, Perspex windows, with white genuine works hardtop. Fitted welded in roll cage, full competition harnesses/Riguard seats. Fitted Retro Trip.
Much recent expenditure, whilst preserving the cars history. New Aldon balanced 1840cc competition engine having large valve port and polished race cylinder head, large bore Maniflow magaphone exhaust, rebuilt heavy duty 4 syncro overdrive gearbox (narrow tunnel retained). Rebuilt rear axle with 4.55 LSD. Five Minator wheels fitted with Avon CRZZ (four new) tyres. Motalita steering wheel. New EBC discs and green stuff pads and shoes/master cylinders. All brake and fuel lines routed inside. Lowered competition suspension with new dampers.
On the button and ready for action in many types of events. For sale due to change of class.
