-Cable throttle body

Custom dump valve setup
No turbo as this was removed for use elsewhere, however it was a standard KO3s unit. The engine was mapped to 185hp (class power to weight limit) from 3800rpm all the way through to 7100rpm. 265lb/ft at 3800rpm. Haltech engine management with professionally built loom supplied- plug and play ready to run. Great engine for conversion into another VW, and huge potential for more power with no more than a remap. Engine is supplied with a brand new genuine OE sump, as the one fitted currently has a crack in it.
The gearbox is a standard ratio 1.8t O2J, fitted with a Ricardo plate LSD. Very well suited to the engines broad power and torque curve, the LSD would also suit a serious track/race car. The engine originally came with a solid flywheel setup and paddle clutch- unfortunately these were stolen from my workshop. I have a G60 solid flywheel however which is included in the sale and would be ideal for use on this engine.
Please bear in mind this engine was built when the 1.8t was a fairly new engine- so it has really done very little work before or after rebuilding. Dry stored since being removed, I estimate the engine has around 1500 miles or less on it since it was rebuilt- it was run for one season of racing. The gearbox also has the same mileage on it so car also be considered low mileage. With a standard KO3s turbo bolted on- the engine is a plug and play package- ideal for something light like a Lupo or Mk1 Golf. Any questions feel free to ask. I have more pictures if requested, and also have scans of an article written about the car/engine in CCC magazine, October 2003 which has a few more details/pictures in it. Engine is located in East Sussex, GB.
