Those who have knowledge of racing cars, also know that a large part of the cars on offer already have a very tough life behind them. That in itself does not necessarily have to be an objection, but that depends entirely on how well the car has been technically maintained and whether was damaged during the races. Sometimes, and that is really unique, you come across a car that has been “lucky” to leave such a racing team undamaged. The Alfa Romeo 147 GTA Challenge that we offer here is such a car.

The Alfa was built in 2003 was used as a practive and spare car for the Dayzers Team Bleekemolen in the 2003-2004 seasons and, according to the team management, was only used once in a race; the one at the Italian Monza, with driver Sandra van der Sloot behind the wheel. This very brief use is therefore the reason that the car never had any crashes or major technical problems.

The Alfa has had all the Euro Cup modifications and was purchased directly from Michel Bleekemolen in 2005 by the current owner who only used it for a limited number of track days on the circuits of Zandvoort, Assen and Spa Fancorchamps. The highly reliable engine was completely overhauled in 2008 by Madeno Racing from Oude Tonge. Afterwards there were only a few trackdays and the last 5 years the car only drove out of the garage to keep the engine running and keep everything moving. The overall condition is therefore very good. The sale includes a few sets of wheels with slicks and rain tires and a spare front spoiler.

After all these years, it is still a uniquely fast, competitive and relatively easy-to-drive racing car, allowing lap times of up to 1:53 minutes at Zandvoort.
