Description:
Built from the ground up as a pure racing car, the Vantage GT4 has become the most popular GT4 racing car around the world. Competing in the hands of gentleman drivers at track days and club meetings to being campaigned by world class race teams in the hands of professional drivers, the Vantage GT4 is one of the most versatile racing cars ever produced.
The superb example we are delighted to bring to market was first supplied in 2010 to famed race team and Le Mans veterans, Jota Sport. The cars first competitive entry would be to the legendary and gruelling 24 hours of Spa in the hands of Jota Sport Director, Simon Dolan and seasoned racers Sam Hancock, Joe Twyman and Roger Willis. The car finished without incident recording 1st in class in its very first outing. Further success came at the 24 hours of Silverstone again in the hands of Dolan and Hancock with the additional of Chris Poritt, Aston Martins Chief Engineer at that time. The car again finished without incident recording an exceptional 2nd in class and 5th overall.
Since the gruelling endurance events, the car has twice visited the legendary Circuit Le Sarthe to compete in the annual Aston Martin Festival Race that runs as a support race, just before the 24-hour begins. In 2012 the car was campaigned by Rowan Atkinson and in 2018, in the hands of Stephen and Felix Archer.
VANTAGEGT4-062 presents beautifully for a race car thanks to meticulous preparation and maintenance by Jota and crucially that the car has never been involved in an accident. A large spares package with all you need to go racing is included with the sale price. Interestingly, this race car can be made road-legal after some light modification and completion of a successful ISVA test, further details of which are available on request. With a superb history and provenance, this very well presented GT4 is ready to return to the track either for track day use, club racing or a GT4 championship.
