Description:
In 1979, well-known Italian Ford Escort specialist, Gabriele Terzi built chassis terzi08 for Giovanni Miranda to contest the Italian Touring Car championship.
Fitted with the 1840cc BDA and 4-speed gearbox accordingly to FIA group 2 regulations, terzi08 was first used in October 1979 at the 24th Coppa Leopoldo Carri at Monza.
The following year, Miranda and Mario Ruoso (in an ex 1979 ETCC D&W Zakspeed car) fought for the title in the 2 litre class. Miranda continued to race terzi08 for the 1981, 1982 and 1983 seasons. The car was then used 2 times in 1985 and then stored for almost 30 years.
We restored the car mechanically but it still retains its original paint! Same can be said for the interior. A new cage has to be fitted but we preserved the original dashboard and gauges. The car retains its original patina. It comes with a 100+ pages historic file with a lot of period pictures as well as the authentication letter by Gabriele Terzi.
