William I'Anson Ltd are delighted to offer for sale the Ex - Eric Offenstadt 1965 Lola T60 Formula 2.
Ordered new in 1965 by Eric Offenstadt for Formula 2. Converted to Formula 3 specification in time for Offenstadt to take SL60/4 to Argentina for the Temporada Series where he won the final race at Mar del Plata.
Returned to Formula 2 specification on its return to England for the 1966 season. Some strong performances followed, a highlight being leading at Keimola ahead of Jim Clark, Jack Brabham and other Formula 1 stars until contact with Jochen Rindt forced retirement.
Sold by Offenstadt to Robs Lamplough, who in turn sold it to Brian Cullen in Ireland. Fitted with a Lotus Twincam engine, Cullen campaigned SL60/4 in Formula Libre before selling it to Gerald Hudson in Texas, U.S.A.
Bought from Hudson by the current owner who has fully restored SL60/4. Fitted with injected Cosworth SCA power, SL60/4 took 4th overall in qualifying before finishing 6th in the Glover Trophy at the Goodwood Revival in 2018. A thoroughbred Formula 2 in beautiful condition which is eligible for the HGPCA series with the potential for an invite to Goodwood.
