Description:

Porsche 996 GT2 RSR

A new empty body (996 GT2) whit German registration certificate was purchased from Porsche GmbH in 2001.

The body was sent to Freisinger motorsport in Germany, where they mounted roll cage, air jacks and fully welded body according to RSR specifications.

ZimSpeed then built the widebody RSR kit in carbon fiber.

The car was completed in Sweden during 2005-2009.

A brief shake down was made in 2009, after that, the car was left standing until I bought it in the winter 2015.

In 2016 I competed with the car in the Swedish Timeattack series in the highest class (Unlimited) after 5 races, the car finished in 3rd place overall.

In 2016, only two races were carried out with the car.

2018 one timeattack race with the car was made, result 2nd place.

Engine

996 GT2 3,6 with RS-Tuning K24/26 turbos and GT2 RS intercoolers, Protomotive MAP, Porsche motorsport oil pump Protomotive exhaust camshafts, ethanol converted whit catch tank and extra fuel pumps, water/methanol injection, bigger throttle body and one-off aluminum y-pipe and plenum, Turbo Smart boost controller, three different exhaust systems for different noise regulations.

Transmission

GT3-R motorsport transmission (rebuild 2017) with Guard GT1 differential, 997.2 CUP drive shafts, Oakley sequential shifter.

Chassis

Full carbon flat under floor, Sobek air jacks, fire extinguishing system, STACK instrument, built-in transponder, Porsche motorsport electrical steering pump, 997 CUP steering rack

Suspension

Subframe modified (RSR), Öhlins 3-way shock absorbers, 997 CUP solid rod and links.

Brakes

996 GT2 calipers, Performance friction disk front CUP rear, Porsche motorsport 996 CUP ABS, 997 CUP brake cylinders and bias adjustable from cockpit.

Wheels

BBS Monoblock (GT1) 12.5 " front wheels, BBS split (GT1) 13.5 "rear wheels (3 set included), front tires 30/65-18 rear tires 30/68-18.

Performance

Power approximately 800Hp (adjustable between 550-800HP).

Torque approximately 950NM.

Weight 1210 whit 20 liter of fuel.
