Porsche Carrera GT980 2005 

I have had this very special car for 9 years and until you have driven it you will not understand just how special it really is.

It has been tweeked to 699.4 bhp by professionals at DMS Automotives in Southampton who originally mapped the first Carrera GT in America for Porsche themselves.

Only 1270 where built and they are all left hand drive. It is a Uk registered vehicle but has a US spec front bumper as this was the only one available at the time of repair 9 years ago.  The only difference is it has orange reflectors on the side of the bumper but it is a genuine Porsche part.

I have enjoyed every single mile driving it.   It is on 62,000 miles and if anything has ever needed doing to this car I have done it. It has always been maintained with genuine Porsche parts. Oil and gearbox changes every 3 - 4,000 miles regardless. I have many Invoices.

This is the best sounding car you will ever hear.

I have a friend who is a 24 hour Le Mans driver he said to me that "This car is the closest thing you will get to an LMP car and best thing about it is yours is road legal".

This car was sold as salvage due to the car costing £258,000 new and the Insurance decided the cost of the Porsche parts out weighed the price of the car.  You have to bear in mind that a rear alloy wheel will set you back £6,000 and another example is a rear hub is £4,500 and a rear undertray is £25,000. 

If you think you are coming to look at a new car this is clearly not for you.  It is 14 years old. It has been used as a car should be.  I have been on several rallies, track days and also the Nurburgring.  It has never let me down once, most reliable car I have owned and the fastest!

Anybody who is seriously interested and requires a test drive will need to provide an Insurance certificate to cover the value of the car as this is why it was sold as salvage 9 years ago.
