Description:

Jedi racing cars are well known for their high performance and great value for money. This car is a mark 6 and was built to a high standard and raced by its builder before he moved onto developing other cars. I bought it as my first racing car, mainly because a bike-engined car was attractive to me. I am its third owner, although its second owner never used it due to sudden business commitments.

It is a beautifully made car and is ready to race. It can be used in F1000 Invitation Cup, Monoposto, hill climbs, sprints, open wheel track days and circuit race days. Open wheel track days are good for being inexpensive and giving you a lot of track time for learning how to set it up and to drive it to its limit.

I bought it 18 months ago and have only driven it a little, twice on open wheel track days at Anglesey and in one sprint at Aintree. The performance is great, even I could outrun the Formula Ford cars that were at Anglesey on the days I was there. My best time as an absolute beginner on the Coastal circuit was 1 min 15 sec.. Other commitments mean that I do not have time to use it and so reluctantly I am selling it.

It has a Yamaha F1 engine with quadruple downdraft carbs. It has had a replacement roll bar fitted by Jedi to meet MSUK rules and so is ready to race apart from needing a 2019 seat belt. It has an MSUK passport. It is in good condition with no known faults.

Spares include a complete, rebuilt Yamaha F1 engine, wet weather tyres on Jedi wheels, a second set of used slicks which are OK for practicing, and a number of engine and transmission spares. The builder wrote a good manual for it to help with setting up and sourcing any spares needed. There is also a Haynes Yamaha F1 manual, and a home-made quick lift jack.

Price now only £10,900 OVNO

Clothing

If you're a beginner like I was, and they fit you, I am willing to sell my race suit, helmet, HANS, boots, gloves, balaclava etc which will reduce the cost of starting. I bought these new and so they are very little used. Sale prices by discussion.

Trailer

I also have a flatbed trailer that I bought for the car, which was made by Brenderup. It is an ideal size for the Jedi which is easy to load with the electric winch I fitted to it. I have made a steel frame ready for a tarpaulin covering. It's in good running condition although the tyre wall show a little side wall aging and would be better replaced. With towing hitch lock and wheel lock. This is available in the first instance to the car buyer, but if the buyer doesn't want it then it will be available for others.  Price £1,300, which is what it has cost me.
