Description:
MGA Racecar with V5 originally built for & run in class B of the MGA Register Championship that ran from 1976-1990 & then in to the MGCC Thoroughbred Sports car championship until a few yeaars ago.
The engine is an all Steel 1650cc B series engine running on a Weber with a 3syncro SCCR Jack Knight MGA gearbox & an LSD.
The brakes run a standard MGA master cylinder with Disc brakes front & drums on the rear.
Suspension is Coils springs front & leaf springs rear, with anti tramp bars & panhard rod & telescopic dampers all round.
Bodywork is finished in BRG with yellow stripe, the wings, bonnet, boot & doors are aluminium, front & rear shrouds are steel.
The car has been recently been mechanically recomisioned & is up & running, it can be seen & driven by any prospective buyer. It will need a new set of belts, extingusher & set of tyres before it can be used in competition. With a bit of backdating to standard type set up on the suspension, a full width cut down screen & an original looking grill surround this car would be eligible for the Equipe GTS or AMOC 50s series & other historic events. It comes with some spares including a set of fibreglass wings & a scruffy set of minlite type wheels.
