This particular car started its career with Schubert Motors in 2004, and participated in 

- DMSB Produktionswagen Meisterschaft with Claudia Hürtgen who became champion that year.

- FIA European Touring Car Championship with Claudia Hürtgen to participate round 7 (Francorchamps) & 9 (Oschersleben).

Afterwards it has been run by several private racing teams.

Except for the doors, bonnet and the trunk (which are in polyester), the car is still in original technical condition:

- 6-cilinder 2000cc engine with 260 hp with carbon fiber intake manifold and titanium exhaust

- BMW Motorsport ECU

- 5-speed dogbox (H-pattern) with cooling system and quick release connections on oil hoses

- rear differential with cooling radiator and quick release connections on oil hoses

- Suspension with Sachs dampers and mesh stabilizors

- 35L ATL fuel cell

- AP brake callipers with ventilated and discs

- heated polycarbonate front window 

- front bumper with carbon fiber crash box

- light weight dry battery

- air jacks including lance

It is said that the BMW E46 S2000 / ETCC / WTCC is the last BMW Motorsport car which is affordable and uncomplicated to run.

This car only weighs 1.043 kg, has never suffered severe damage, and is technically OK. It definately still is a potential 2.0L-class winning car!
