A very special Morris Mini Cooper 970S MK1 FIA built, Completely rebuilt, including German papers! This Cooper S was built in 1964 and delivered new in Europe (Sweden) LHD. Only 963 pieces built!

Exterior:

The exterior of the Mini is fully restored. The car have had an nut and bolt restoration and built with great attention to detail according to the FIA specifications. There is great attention to detail used in the construction. Very professionally built, Alloy Wheels, Aluminium doors etc .. The car is built according to FIA standards to participate in historic races and so has a FIA Historic Technical Passport for Hillclimb & Racing.

Interior:

The interior of this beautiful Cooper 970S is fully equipped for racing. For example, there is a special chair fitted with five-point seat belts for the driver. The dashboard is made of lightweight material and includes several important bells. There is a roll bar mounted FIA approved. There is a main switch that operated both inside and outside the car, this ensures that all the power shuts down with one click.

The technique:

The technique of this Morris Mini Cooper 970S is in excellent condition. The engine has been completely overhauled, more than € 20.000, - invested in the engine alone, he has two carburetors. The gearbox is a manual transmission, completely overhauled. Also, there is mounted a light and stronger flywheel. Around 122 hp!! All matching numbers, original S engine!

Possibly at additional cost an additional fully reconditioned engine with all the trimmings (€ 20 000, - invested in the motor)!

This is a real deal Morris Mini Cooper 970S, built in 1964 and converted to racing car in 1967 by Tommy Jagerwall, he has driven for several years in the Swedish Touring Car Championship. Jagerwall sold the car in 1969 but in 2008 he bought it back and started restoring it. Jagerwall raced it in the Swedish RHK Championship. He took part in 44 races with this Cooper S, won 26 of them, 7 times second and 6 times third. A real deal with lots of racing history!
