Description:

BMW M3 supercharged

I'm going to see what interest is out there for my car as I'm not sure what to do and it's being playing on my mind since I bought it .

I bought this M3 in August 2014 which was expensive but had the right modified parts for me to do some track days with my partner , not being able to have the funds for the E92 M3 I was more than happy with this one and it's look .

Looking at the market now with the E46 M3 they seem to be picking up and with the amount of time and many late nights with the occasional pizza to help fanthem out the little gremlins along the way .

Now  I'm not a track warrior nor pushed this car to the limit by any means as I've only done 5 track days to get an understanding of how it behaves after each modified part.

The main reason I was drawn to this at the start as it had a new engine from BMW at a cost of 6 thousand . So that was under 20 thousand on a new engine . (Great)!

The plan was to supercharge it as it was a dream to have one day and I accomplished my goal .

I have a build thread on the forum if you so wish to read which I will put further down the page .

I recently sold a turbo charged M3 E46 which was running 715bhp in which I was going to use as my track car but changed my mind and sold on as this one looked better and felt more focussed .

You'll see all what I did if you read the link, I'm just trying to give you the full insight into what im thinking .

However if the car doesn't get what I'm after then I shall keep it and use it for its purpose as I've spent lots of money on this .

It's ready for hitting some track days with comfort in which it's not loud and to harsh ,but it's firm and safe .

To supercharge a M3 with this kit have a look at hack engineering for the VF570 kit as this kit is what I have .

Charged cooled with some modifications for improvement .

I was once told that just supercharging isn't as easy as bolting it on .

1.The kit has a higher output water pump for more flow

2. The small radiator has been replaced with a larger capacity radiator .

3. The big water tank has been removed due to weight over the front axle .

4.direct port  Water methanol injection has be added just like the new M4 gts has .

That's some of the parts in the engine bay .

I hardly use it it just sits in the garage

I've had both sides painted and the rear arches rolled so the car is very tidy indeed .

Last time I was a castle Combe the car did a 1,17 which is pretty quick with Rsr tyres .

I'm not a fast driver but the car is very capable and with a more expensive tyre brand or slicks I would say theres got to be a  1.15 or 1.14 there .

I don't know any other track really as I've only done Bedford once properly to compare it to.

I know I'm going on I'm just realing  off what's in my head , the reson for maybe selling is only to buy a E92 M3 dct which will be slower .

I've not yet really unleashed the full potential of this car .

I think in total I've done 6 thousand miles since I've owned it .

Full service history run in service etc , I have all the spare parts to put this back to standard apart from the interior seats and door cards .

So not all lol .

This M3 cost me a fortune and I know I wont get that back it's just the way it goes .

To buy the supercharger is big bucks and to keep them cool and make the power takes research .

I'll probably read this back and had forgotten to add some bits but most of it should be on the forum .

Mot is due November 28th 2017

New rear upper arms fitted

I will consider a Clio cup ex race car
