BMW E46 M3 GTR Race Car

Built by Butler Motorsport/Ric Wood using a BMW Motorsport bodyshell as an exact replica of the BMW M3 GTR Race cars that dominated the ALMS and VLN Series in the early 2000's, this car is built on an original BMW motorsport supplied bodyshell and is fitted with the BMW S62 Series V8 engine with dry sump oil system and which produces 610bhp and has been freshly rebuilt and is at 0 hours of a 50 hour rebuild interval. The engine is connected to the 5 speed Drenth MPG Gearbox via 7 1/4 in clutch and the engine runs on Motec engine mapping and includes both rev cut on up change and blip on down change.

The Bodyshell is fitted with BMW Motorsport suspension and dampers which cost approx £18,000 per corner and was specifically developed by BMW Motorsport for the V8 GTR. Additoinallly the car is set up for Endurance spec with 120 litre fuel cell and both gearbox and diff coolers, as well as carbon / composite bodywork and BBS Wheels

The car is an ideal entry for some fantastic racing both in the UK and Europe / USA and with the original cars impossible to obtain (only a handful built for Tom Milner's PTG Racing in the USA) this it the closest you can get tot the original car, with even the shell and roll cage replicating the GTR Shell which was modified from the standard Motorsport version. Eligible for Dutch Super Car , GT Cup, Britcar, and GT 90's amongst other events, the car was also invited to Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2016.
