Description:
Fabulous example of a T332. Ex Tuck Thomas - USA. Possibly holds the record for the longest continuous-running history for contemporary F5000 racing of approx 224 races at 77 meetings over the past 17 years since the initial NZ restoration was completed.
It’s competed at virtually every NZ track (7), as well as Sandown, Sydney Motorsport Park, Philip Island & the F5000 support races at Albert Park F1, plus also Brands Hatch & Zolder. Twice winner of the NZ F5000 Tasman Revival Series in the hands of previous NZ owner Ian Clements. Second overall in the 2015/2016 season Tasman Revival Series Championship to the master himself, Ken Smith, with an impressive 100% finish rate + many other podiums over the years.
Absolutely NO major impacts, wall contact or any tub damage has been sustained in all of this time.
Immaculately detailed, prepared & maintained, irrespective of any cost or time, by ultra fussy fully qualified mechanic-owner/driver. This included a total ground-up 6 month complete stripdown & rebuild in 2010 with many new parts including smaller bladders (made to order in USA) with submerged EFI pumps.
A large amount of work was then done before the 2015/2016 season, including a complete DG300 re-build, new CW&P, custom made lightweight flywheel, new triple plate 5 1/2” Tilton clutch & hydraulic brg, rebuilt brakes, new front w/brgs, new seat-belts, re-certified fire system, new gel battery, new alloy radiators etc etc.
Fantastic bullet-proof engine built by highly respected Chch hi-performance / race / F5000 engine specialist Steve Weeber which has done just 1 season (5 meetings) since an extensive-new-parts freshen by Steve in 2015. Engine has top-line componentry incl CNC lightened GM Bowtie M/Sport block, Callies L/W crank, Manley rods, Jesel belt-drive & rocker gear, AFR heads, 4 stage Weaver DSP, period-correct magnesium intake manifold & hidden-from-sight MSD with crank-trigger.
Anything that ever failed has been thoughtfully re-engineered over the years by the best available for the job so there are some excellent improvements. The end result is simply exceptional reliability.
A separate extensive spares package is available consisting of just about everything you’d ever need to ensure you keep up and running at a meeting along with some equipment (if required)
