This is a genuine Group A Volvo 240T as raced under FIA Group A homologation . 1 of 2 Volvo Group A's racing in Australia. As raced by Laurie Hazelton in Australian Group A championship. Vehicle has a current CAMS racing log book and CAMS Certificate Of Description. Vehicle is eligible for Historic Group A competition.

Vehicle was purchased in original Group A specification and has recently had a full rotisserie restoration inclusive of driveline and all components. Vehicle comes with rare Volvo Group A components retained as spares from era.

No expense was spared in the restoration of this vehicle and sourcing of Volvo expertise in setting vehicle up for racing. Has completed several events and is now offered as a turn key configuration sorted and setup with spares package.

Owner has several Group A vehicles and this pristine example of Volvo Group A racing is surplus to requirements. A comprehensive spares package is included in sale as an inclusive package.

As part of the rotisserie restoration it has been blasted back to bare metal inclusive of engine bay, under body, boot.  Noting that the original panel paint has been retained as raced in Group A competition.

Sample of work involved as follows:

• K Jet unit  (Volvo Group A unit - V8 Mercedes ) fully reconditioned  with spare injectors
• 4 sets of developed Injectors to correct fuel delivery.
• Engine # 1 Fresh rebuild off dyno 347.8 HP rear wheel SAE with Dyno sheet.
• Engine #2  - 318.9 HP rear wheel SAE with Dyno sheet.
• AP Racing calipers, AP Racing discs and master cylinders replaced or over-hauled.
• All new braided Brake and Clutch line with new fittings.
• Group A spec Clutch rebuilt and genuine Volvo GpA flywheel.
• All new fuel lines and Bosch 044 Pump, lift pumps, swirl tank, bladder and Water injection system.
• New Motec M84 with new loom - vehicle completely rewired front to back with new relays and authentic switches.
• New rose joint's throughout and new fabricated lower control arms. All linkages, uprights, fabricated components have had anti-corrosion coatings and/or powder coated.
• Bilstein's have been overhauled, re-valved and shock dyno tested.

Comes with a variety of new spring's in various size / length's for front and rear including various linkages for accomodating differing track setup.

Current owner is an experienced campaigner and vehicle has been built to accurate Group A specification and able to accomodate various track setup's.
