Description:

Very nice Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT to FIA 1965 race-specifications with freshly rebuilt Engine (0 hours race use after rebuild) – lightened, blueprinted and balanced high compression engine with twin 40mm Weber carburettors. The engine has been dyno’ed before rebuild at close to 150 bhp and 170 Nm.

Chassis number AR 612969 was manufactured on the 22nd of March 1965 and sold on the 15th of May 1965 in bologna Italy. The car was already Alfa Red with a black interior. In the early 90’s it was built into an FIA spec Historic Race car in Italy and ran in Italian historic racing. In 2003 the new Dutch owner fully rebuild the car and build a new engine to run in the Dutch National Historic Championship NK-HTGT (2003 - 2008). The car had a great deal of success in it’s years of competition. After the 2008 season the car has been resprayed and the engine and mechanics rebuild but was never raced again.

Bilstein dampers front and Koni rears, Lower / stiffer racing springs, Racing Antiroll bar, Adjustable top suspension links at front, Stiff suspension bushings all round.

Transmission

Limited slip diff (7/43), Five Speed Alfa Gear box with shortened 5th gear, Lightweight Balanced Flywheel, Balanced and refurbished prop shaft, up rated Paddle Clutch.

Brakes

Original Dunlop (Reconditioned) and discs at the front,
Original single Piston Callipers (Reconditioned) and discs at the rear,
Racing Pads front and rear.

Interior

Roll Cage, Extinguisher, fully stripped out and painted, Sparco Racing seat and Five point Harness, Oil pressure/Oil temperature/Water temperature Gauge and oil warning light, Elliot rev counter, main switch, 45 litre ATL foam filled racing fuel cell, Dual electrical fuel pump system, Rear brake line through interior, Aluminium door panel and rear seat delete panel.

Exterior

Straight and solid steel bodied, Full shell repaint in Alfa Romeo Rosso. Bumpers and Chrome Trim Removed. Lightened doors with aluminium GTA doorframes and driver side sliding window. Running on Hein Brandt 15” 5,5Jx15 painted aluminium wheels (one spare set also sold with the car).

Engine

Fresh rebuilt of the originally Ardash built engine. All parts weight and blueprinted by vibration stress relief (VSR) method.
Racing Cams, Ported and Polished Head.
Magneti Marelli aluminium ignition system, NGK Plugs fitted with Distributor advance curve reset to match cams
40DCOE Webber carbs and fitted with 32mm chokes, Lightened and Balanced Crank, Racing Rods and JE Pistons.

Racing Exhaust System.

New lightweight alternator.

Bigger radiator and external oil cooler.

This car has been prepared regardless of cost and is ready to race in Historic events.
