Description:
I have been asked to sell this car by the family of the owner/builder who died recently.
The information i have about it comes from examining the large stack of bills that come with it & from an inspection of the vehicle itself. When collected from the owners garage it was clear that it was being currently worked on - either in the final stages completion or as part of an upgrading process. From what I understand the it has probably never been used & certainly has never yet been in competition. The build process seems to have been undertaken as a labour of love by an engineer owner who worked on it over a very long period - certainly from 2007/8. The standard of workmanship is very high & only high specification components have been used. The bills total £27.5K (!!!!)and this accounts for only perhaps 65-70% of the components used. Most everything on the car seems to have been purchased new and unused - at vast cost.
++The car is registered on a Q plate as an MNR & the V5 shows IVA/SVA certification++

When the vehicle was collected it became clear that work was in progress on the vehicle. Parts of the wiring had been disturbed, air filter removed etc . My guess is that the work was related to the installation/operation of the digital dash system but obviously i cannot be sure. With a battery installed, and wiring etc reinstated, the car started readily but immediately displayed a WORRYING ENGINE KNOCK!! It is not intended to explore this further and the car will be sold as it is. Receipts show the engine to have been purchased at great cost and stripped, checked & rebuilt professionally before installation......but, fact is, for whatever reason, it has a nasty noise so the buyer will have some work to do.
It is intended that the car be sold to the highest offer that can be secured in the next week or two. I reckon anyone buying the car at around £5-6k will get a very very good deal & have an adequate margin to sort the engine.
The car can be viewed near Uttoxeter (ST14) & further info is available by ringing 07703162409 anytime - --- - emails are less convenient & PMs are tedious & get missed---
