Formed in the late 1960s Pringett Racing produced 17 Mistrale Formula Fords, of which 10 were Mark 11. In period the cars were very successful in holding the lap record in the hands of Dave Morgan, Bev Bond and the works driver Sid Fox.
Previous FIA papers list Dave Morgan as the first owner of this car and it has only 2 other previous owners. FRESH FIA HTP PAPERS JUST ISSUED.
Produced in 1969, this car has successfully and consistently competed in hill climbing during the last ten years. With freshly restored chassis and newly-built Aldon Automotive zero hours engine, the car is ready to compete in historic circuit, hill climb or sprint events. Could be ideal entry for the increasinly popular Historic Formula Ford championships both in UK and Europe. Of the 17 Mistrales built this car has chassis number 14 and has a solid provenance. It will be sold complete with detailed history files. Believed to be the only remaining Pringett Mistrale, this unique car presents an opportunity for the new owner to secure entries when organisers are faced with choosing from a field of same-make cars.
In 2005, the magazine Autocar ran a centre spread article featuring the car on a test day, with current owner and original Pringett personnel.
The car is for sale due to the owner moving to a different class.
A fitted cockpit cover is included.
The engine re-build included a new STAC steel crankshaft, pistons and new clutch.
