Description:

This Van Diemen RF80 was rebuilt in 2011 and has been raced in the Classic Formula Ford Championship 2012-2015.  It has multiple podiums and won the Novice Championship in 2013 and placed third in the Class A Championship in both 2014 and 2015.  The car is in very good condition and is ready to race. In addition to the British Classic Formula Ford Championship it can be raced in the HMR and French Formula Ford championships in Europe.

The engine has been replaced by a freshly built Kent engine built to current Formula Ford specification by a multiple championship winning engine builder whose engines have won the exceptionally competitive Historic Formula Ford 1600 championship twice.  The dynamometer sheet shown shows 107 hp peak.

The engine has the following new parts:

- Carburettor

- Pistons

- Timing chain

- Clutch

- Dave Hunter steel sump

- Distributor with electronic ignition complete with coil

The engine also includes the following work: 

- Chemically cleaned, re-linered and line honed block 

- Rods balanced and honed

- Crankshaft re-ground and balanced

- Flywheel refaced and rebalanced

- Oil pump checked and serviced

The car is also available without the engine.  It comes with the following spares: Nose cone, 2 rear radius rods and radiator.
