For sale - our Ginetta G50 GT4 - multiple race winner in 2015

Built in 2009 the car was prepared and raced by Veloso Motorsport in Portugal from 2010 to 2012.  The car was acquired from Veloso by PT Sports Cars directors Ben Tompkins and Ian Payne in February 2013 and has been driven by Ben since then.  This car has achieved the following titles:

2010 - Portuguese GT4 Championship

2011 - 2nd place in the GT4 Spanish GT Championship

2012 - 3rd place in the GT4 Portuguese GT Championship

2013 - 3rd place in UK GT Cup championship & 2nd in GTA Class

2014 - several podiums in GT Cup in GTA class (raced part season)

2015 - several class wins and fastest laps in GT Cup GTA class, often outpacing GTB class too (raced part season)

The car has an impressive technical specification:

  • Hewland 6 speed sequential gearbox

  • Ohlins 2-way dampers (recently serviced, 1 race weekend ago)

  • Motec M800 ECU and full data logging system

The upgrade from the Quaife gearbox to the Hewland gearbox represents a significant improvement in reliability and performance.  The Ohlins 2-way dampers are a much more efficient version than the 1-way dampers.  The car will be supplied with 2.5 sets of wheels and a spares package including used bonnet, one sill, one rear upper body section, used brake discs, used differential and various engine spares

The car has been maintained and prepared by SPY Motorsport for the last three years, Peter Young there knows the car well and would be keen to continue to support a driver in the car.  It had a new engine in mid 2014 (cost £12,500), a complete cockpit and bodywork refresh for the 2015 season and has recently had the dampers serviced and a refreshed differential (both one race weekend ago).  The car looks great in the flesh!
